So, I was supposed to post this entry yesterday but seeing as how it has a few videos to go along with it, I had to let them upload as I slept last night... Yea it kinda sucked...
Well, first off, I cut and dyed my hair... Love it so far....
Second, there will be like 6 videos at the end of this, if you dont want to watch em, I really dont care. Kat, watch the last one... It is for you....
Third, heres a look for you... I will not be posting how I did it though unless I remember tonight

Flower Blossom (Kayla)

Sooo.... Very much requested look is here... Requested yesterday, done today.... Suprisingly, didn't get many compliments on it though... Booo....

Okay so as usual I started off this look with my usual Two Faced Shadow Insurance and Painterly Paintpot ALL over the eye. Then, along my lid I used my MAC Facinating eyeliner pencil (any white pencil will do) and blended it out to the crease. On the inner third of my eye, no higher than the crease, I used MAC's Chrome Yellow e/s (an extremely bright true yellow) and layered it on until I got the desired darkness. On the middle third of my eye I used MAC's Orange e/s (a very bright halloween-ish orange) and again applied it no higher than the crease and until I got the desired pigmentation. On the outter third and up into the crease I used MAC's Clarity e/s (a very bright sky blue that honestly is the color of a Sunny D lid) and blended that slightly with everything. In the very corner I added a bit of Birds and Berries e/s (a limited edition eyeshadow that may still be available at some stores and online). For the highlight I used MAC's Vanilla e/s (please do not confuse with the pigment as it is more shimmery and more pink than the eyeshadow). I then lined my eyes with the Joe Pen Liquid Liner, curled my lashes and applied my Covergirl Lashblast luxe black platinum. On the bottom, I took out my Facinating eye pencil again and lined the inner third of my bottom lash line and slightly blended. Over this I used MAC's Gorgeous Gold e/s (a canary yellow with green duocrome) and then finished lining with my MAC Feline eyeliner (Feline IS a limited edition product so it is not sold anymore for the time being). For my face, I used my usual Makeup Forever HD Primer, MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC15, Kat Von D Concealer Light and Revlon Golden Affair blush in Rose Rapture. On my lips I used my Kat Von D Saint lipgloss with MAC Viva Glam II over it and TADA...
Estimated time the entire process took me.... 30 minutes

Shameless self promotion (Kayla)

So, I have stooped to shameless self promotion... I am promoting this blog not only through my friends, but through a customer who is frenquently loving my makeup at work. Whenever she is in, its always bright, dramatic and what not... Sadly, the one night I don't have hugely dramatic makeup, she brings a friend in to try and show it off... So ofcourse I had to promote here...
Todays post will be looks that I have done in the past (anywhere from the past few days to a few months and even a year+ ago).... I will eventually get around to recreating these looks on here seeing as how I know many people would like to see how they are done... And also, the days that I have time, I will go into more detail about how I created the looks... Or for the looks that require attention to detail, like my rainbow look that I wore for Gay Pride this year (I am straight but was there supporting friends)... So, hope everyone likes these and if there are any that are more wanted than others, let me know...
Tomorrow I will have a post up with a look as requested by the lovely ladies.... It will be yellow, orange and blue.... So stay tuned... Enjoy the pictures

Today (dont mind my tiredness... long day)

Catching up with Kat

I keep on forgetting to post these pictures of Makeup I have done over the last month. I seemed to have gotten lazy on uploading pictures from my camera. I haven't named any of them and I can't exactly remember what products I used. I do know in the first set I have up here I used Ardine eye shadows. I believe that is the brand. Kayla gave them to me for my birthday last year. I absolutely love the pigmentation. It just sucks that all of them are now powder due to being carried around in my makeup bag in my purse.

In the next 2 pictures, I used a sheer pink pigment from MAC that I got in one of their holiday gift sets. I absolutely love this pigment. I use it all by it's self or as a brow bone highlight.

In these last photo's I was kinda going for a Cheshire cat look with the pink and the purple. Don't you just love my hat? My wonderful boyfriend gave it to me for Christmas.

Straightener!!! (Kayla)

So, for a while I have been looking at upgrading to a professional grade straightener and just have not wanted to deal with the professional grade price which kind of (actually make that REALLY) sucked....
Well today I was out with a friend and we stopped by to say hi to another friend at her work.
We were looking around and I decided to look at the straighteners since somehow our feet drug us over to that area...
I found that they had quite a few professional grade straighteners like this one, the Cortex with skulls

While I was tempted to buy it since I knew that vintageortacky had posted a video on youtube where she had used the exact same one, only moments earlier a straightener caught my eye even more than that one....
The ISO (or proliss as renamed for sale in canada
) Hair Straightener Flat Iron Turbo Silk Snake Tattoo in pink... It was gorgeous...
This pic is not of the one actually in my possession as my camera is still in my purse from our busy day at the zoo but here is pretty much my straightener

The summary of it online says
  • 1.0 inch 100% ceramic plates along with tourmaline crystals that are crushed, baked and infused into the plates.
  • Nano Technology: which eliminates harmful bacteria from the ceramic plates, and promotes a germ free styling environment.
  • 700% More Negative Ions (compared with any other Flat Iron in the market) that are released from the solid ceramic surface, will increase the natural moisture content of your hair.
  • Heats up in just 8 seconds!.
  • ON / OFF Switch
  • Intelligent system able to reach an optimum temperature of 430 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Built In Floating Plates: allowing the plates to have a slight movement from left to right and up and down. This makes the ISO a Complete Styling Tool, and not just a Hair Straightener.
  • 110-220 volts 50/60Hz for use in the U.S. and around the world

So, overall I was pretty much impressed with this straightener from the get go as most of that is specified on the box (except its 720% and 450 degrees Fahrenheit but really whos counting)

The selling point of this whole thing though was the price...
It has a $320.00 USD price tag on it, yet on the side has a $39.99 CAD sticker.
So overall a high quality straightener with a low quality price tag on it.
I haven't used it as of yet, it is still in the box at the moment, but as soon as I do, I will review it and post pictures of it.
Sorry for rambling you guys, just I was super excited...
