Kayla Update

OMG OMG OMG I AM SO SORRY YOU GUYS!!!
I do realize I have been really slacking on this but I am having a killer 2 weeks...
Between work, the kidlet, friends, prepping for the HIM concert and whatnot, I have had NO time for this place..
So here is a little update...
Tomorrow I have a HIM concert, aswell as on Wednesday... I cannot wait... I WILL post my makeup from both days for you lovely people...
As you all know, 2 weeks ago I dyed my hair... Well lets just say, Color Fiend hair dye SUCKS MASSIVE MONKEY C*&%!!!! It was nearly completely faded a week later... So I went to bleach my hair and AGAIN it did not take... Like seriously my hair is now a light golden blonde when it is supposed to be like PLATINUM blonde... One of my friends who does hair here does not understand why my hair is being a stubborn little b!tch!!!!
So tomorrow before the concert, I will be going back to Punky Color for my awesome hair...
Ummmmm I haven't really accumulated anything new so I have nothing to show you...
But yea... Hope everything is going well with all of you and you arent as stressed as I am lately...
My friend who was coming with me to the away HIM show hasnt contacted me in 2 weeks... He was dealing with the hotel and was the driver... I was dealing with the tickets... So in the past 2 days I have had to find a new ride, find out if the VIP tickets were transferrable, find a buyer, etc... So needless to say, between stress and possibly bad food last night, I was up at 4:30 this morning puking my guts out... I hope you are all better than that and I must be off to finish my list of things for the night... I still have to clean my makeup brushes and paint my nails.... And maybe organize my makeup so I know where everything is for while doing my concert makeup...
Kat, I WILL have pictures from the concert posted on Thursday... I will put a sneak preview on here and the rest on my facebook for you

EDIT!!!!!!!
SOOOOO been trying to up the 2nd shows pics but facebooks being a slut... SO asap..
AND BEN MOODY SMILED AT ME AND KEPT LOOKING AT ME AND POSED DIRECTLY FOR MY CAMERA!!!

Amy Nicoletti inspiration(Kat)

I did my makeup and today for once. I forgot to get a picture of yesterday's which i used some of my Kat Von D makeup. Speaking of Kat Von D Today's Makeup is inspired by Amy Nicoletti who was on LA ink for a bit before she quit. I fell in love with her eyeshadow. she does it so flawlessly. SO I gave a crack at it and added a little bit of my own flare by incorporating my signature cat eye.

Gesso eyeshadow by MAC
Passionate eyeshadow by MAC

Flower Blossom (Kayla)

Sooo.... Very much requested look is here... Requested yesterday, done today.... Suprisingly, didn't get many compliments on it though... Booo....

Okay so as usual I started off this look with my usual Two Faced Shadow Insurance and Painterly Paintpot ALL over the eye. Then, along my lid I used my MAC Facinating eyeliner pencil (any white pencil will do) and blended it out to the crease. On the inner third of my eye, no higher than the crease, I used MAC's Chrome Yellow e/s (an extremely bright true yellow) and layered it on until I got the desired darkness. On the middle third of my eye I used MAC's Orange e/s (a very bright halloween-ish orange) and again applied it no higher than the crease and until I got the desired pigmentation. On the outter third and up into the crease I used MAC's Clarity e/s (a very bright sky blue that honestly is the color of a Sunny D lid) and blended that slightly with everything. In the very corner I added a bit of Birds and Berries e/s (a limited edition eyeshadow that may still be available at some stores and online). For the highlight I used MAC's Vanilla e/s (please do not confuse with the pigment as it is more shimmery and more pink than the eyeshadow). I then lined my eyes with the Joe Pen Liquid Liner, curled my lashes and applied my Covergirl Lashblast luxe black platinum. On the bottom, I took out my Facinating eye pencil again and lined the inner third of my bottom lash line and slightly blended. Over this I used MAC's Gorgeous Gold e/s (a canary yellow with green duocrome) and then finished lining with my MAC Feline eyeliner (Feline IS a limited edition product so it is not sold anymore for the time being). For my face, I used my usual Makeup Forever HD Primer, MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC15, Kat Von D Concealer Light and Revlon Golden Affair blush in Rose Rapture. On my lips I used my Kat Von D Saint lipgloss with MAC Viva Glam II over it and TADA...
Estimated time the entire process took me.... 30 minutes

Shameless self promotion (Kayla)

So, I have stooped to shameless self promotion... I am promoting this blog not only through my friends, but through a customer who is frenquently loving my makeup at work. Whenever she is in, its always bright, dramatic and what not... Sadly, the one night I don't have hugely dramatic makeup, she brings a friend in to try and show it off... So ofcourse I had to promote here...
Todays post will be looks that I have done in the past (anywhere from the past few days to a few months and even a year+ ago).... I will eventually get around to recreating these looks on here seeing as how I know many people would like to see how they are done... And also, the days that I have time, I will go into more detail about how I created the looks... Or for the looks that require attention to detail, like my rainbow look that I wore for Gay Pride this year (I am straight but was there supporting friends)... So, hope everyone likes these and if there are any that are more wanted than others, let me know...
Tomorrow I will have a post up with a look as requested by the lovely ladies.... It will be yellow, orange and blue.... So stay tuned... Enjoy the pictures

Catching up with Kat

I keep on forgetting to post these pictures of Makeup I have done over the last month. I seemed to have gotten lazy on uploading pictures from my camera. I haven't named any of them and I can't exactly remember what products I used. I do know in the first set I have up here I used Ardine eye shadows. I believe that is the brand. Kayla gave them to me for my birthday last year. I absolutely love the pigmentation. It just sucks that all of them are now powder due to being carried around in my makeup bag in my purse.

In the next 2 pictures, I used a sheer pink pigment from MAC that I got in one of their holiday gift sets. I absolutely love this pigment. I use it all by it's self or as a brow bone highlight.

In these last photo's I was kinda going for a Cheshire cat look with the pink and the purple. Don't you just love my hat? My wonderful boyfriend gave it to me for Christmas.
